Akonadi - The PIM Storage Service.

Intends to design an extensible cross-desktop storage service for PIM data and meta data providing concurrent read, write, and query access. It will provide unique desktop wide object identification and retrieval.

This logo tries express the way akonadi architecture is built around a central storage which is accessed through a language and platform.
Akonadi is designed to be accessible to a broad range of applications and resource implementations. It’s part of the concept that it’s easy to add additional APIs and users of the APIs.

KDE or the K Desktop Environment, is a network transparent contemporary desktop environment for UNIX workstations. KDE seeks to fulfill the need for an easy to use desktop for UNIX workstations, similar to desktop environments found on Macintosh and Microsoft Windows operating systems. The UNIX operating system is according to us the best available today. When it comes to stability, scalability and openness UNIX has no competition. In fact UNIX has been the undisputed choice of information technology professionals for many years. The lack of an easy to use contemporary desktop environment, however, has prevented UNIX from finding its way onto desktops of typical computer users in offices and homes. UNIX today dominates the server market and is the preferred computing platform for computing professionals and scientists alike. The Internet, a household name traces its heritage to UNIX. Inspite of such ubiquitous creations from the UNIX community, average computer users still expect it to be difficult to use and often stay away. This fact is particularly unfortunate since a number of implementations of UNIX, all of which are of exceptional quality and stability (Debian GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD etc.) are freely available of the Internet.

Today computers must deal with a large variety of consumer electronic devices while networks and Internet access have become pervasive. Our desktop must interact robustly with this highly dynamic world.
Some artwork for the Solid, we worked on several pices of artwork for this project, such has layout for the website, logo, letering, and iconography.
Solid is an attempt to fix the architecture of the desktop and remove current limitations.

Database icons for oo.o ikde icon theme This was the result of one of the most fun work’s i did.
It was done with Robert Wadley and all of the 800 icons are made by him or me. All of them are made in svg and are based on the great work of Everaldo Coelho.
